No pude encontrar mucha información de este artista, y la poca que había estaba en francés. Sin embargo utilizando un traductor, pongo esta info. Lo Importante al final es que la música es muy buena. El Sonido está a la mitad entre Radiohead y Grizzly Bear, combinando electro, folk y pop. Este disco tiene un efecto terapéutico. En serio.

Torngat, grupo canadiense con base en Montreal, está compuesto por, Pietro Amato, Mathieu Charbonneau - Wurlitzer y Julien Poissant. Este grupo de ambient, crean música instrumental maravillosa. “La petite Nicole” ofrece muchos elementos de post rock. Cuando escuchas su música parece que fuera música para películas que no han sido filmadas aún.

“A Sucker’s Dream” es el disco número dos en la carrera del grupo The Alternate Routes. Una buena noticia sin lugar a dudas es que mantuvieron su sentido de melodia y sus letras interesantes. Dead Sea
The Dead Sea, es Tim Bruniges, Nick Kennedy y David Trumpmanis. Ellos hacen música sumamente instrumentada acompañada de proyecciones de películas. Formados en Sidney, Australia en el 2006 y rapidamente se conviertieron en una de las bandas mas prometedoras de Australia. Su EP se lanzó en el 2007 y sus filmes han sido proyectados a nivel internacional en Seoul, Rio De Janeiro y Vladivostok. A inicios del 2009, la canción “Respire” fue utilizada en CSI Miami.
Este su primer LP es una mezcla poderosa de ambient, indie y shoegaze.

Navegando entre una línea musical de indie y música experimental, nos encontramos con “Sweet Billy Pilgrim”. Con su disco número 2, Twice Born Men, el trio de Tim Elsenburg, Anthony Bishop y Alistair Hamar proveen otro antídoto fascinante para la falsedad que existe en la música pop actual. El grupo crea pequeñas sinfonías. El disco es un albúm conceptual sobre el amor (pero no en el estilo de Barry White, según palabras de Elsenburg).

Iggy Pop
“Simplemente me cansé de oir a idiotas con guitarras” Es lo que dice “Iggy Pop” quizás refiriendose a su reunión corta con los Stooges. De cualquier forma, este es un disco sumamente diferente. Principalmente la ausencia (practicamente) de guitarras. En su lugar saxofones, jazz estilo New Orleans y música para escuchar en algún bar lleno de niebla.
Préliminaires está inspirado en el libro del escritor francés Michel Houellebecq’s ”The Possibility of an Island”
Frase memorable del disco: “You can convince the world that you’re some kind of superstar, when an asshole is all you are, but that’s all right,”
Este quizás sea su mejor trabajo desde el legendario Lust for Life de 1977

Si buscas música poco convencional, llena de sonidos extraños, este es el indicado. Canciones con coros fantasmales, percusiones extrañas y elementos orquestales llenan el sonido de este excentrico músico de Brooklyn.
